SHADOWS CAST

In a chiaroscuro atmosphere, the spectator enters the intimacy of a family and its unspoken secrets:

K, a flayed young woman, tries to talk to her father in order to escape her family’s silence. But she must face up to the shadows cast by everyone around her.

In a succession of cinematic tableaux, on the edge of aerial acrobatics, dance and theater, Raphaëlle Boitel puts words to the unspoken, in a metaphorical writing style tinged with humor.

WHEN ANGELS FALL

In a bleak future ruled by machines, a group of men and women, deprived of speech, flail about like puppets. One of them, however, will upset the mechanics of this controlled society and reconcile them with their humanity.

Struggling with the elements of the stage that have become apparatus, the virtuoso bodies gradually rediscover the energy of revolt. A captivating dreamlike and philosophical journey.

BLACK BEAST & LITTLE QUEEN

End of creation/resumption for these two short forms featuring female circus artists. 

The Black Beast, a solo based on contortion and the spine, evokes the inner struggles of a woman with a scarred body. 

Little Queen, a gritty, clownish satire on the clutches of love, stars Edith, a luminous character who innocently recounts her own downfall.
